Founder's note
Why TREDIC exists.
Across two decades of work with heads of state, finance ministers, and national laboratories, I have observed a pattern that is both simple and consequential. Nations rarely fail to build technological capability because they lack intelligence, resources, or ambition.
They fail because they attempt to build capability without first building the system that makes capability possible.
A laboratory without governance is simply a building. A research programme without a workforce pipeline is a temporary project. Technology acquisition without institutional depth is dependency disguised as progress.
